Bloom Arts '13

In a nutshell, Bloom Arts is a big 'ol gathering where artists, musicians, independent entrepreneurs, and lots of cool people come together to celebrate art. There's a big exhibit where invited artists, as well as newcomers can exhibit their work. Up and coming musicians also get a chance at the spotlight as they perform throughout the night. A mini bazaar simultaneously happens alongside all the merry-making.

This year's Bloom Arts happens TONIGHT, 3pm onwards.

This is the second rendition of Bloom Arts. Last year was held at Cubao X. It started out as a little experiment just to help artists get their work out to the public. 3000 entries later, I think it's safe to deem the event successful. This year, they take the party out to Makati. Using The Collective as a venue was an easy choice. For those who have never been, The Collective's a big space with mini retail shops, comic book stores, galleries, and restaurants. Think of it as a fun creative ground for all sorts of entrepreneurs. Like those art fairs that would come to your school every now and then, expect this one runs all year round.

I won't get into details about all the shops for now, because that honestly deserves a post of its own. Tonight though, you have to swing by. Visiting The Collective is an experience all on its own. You can hit two birds with one stone tonight by going to Bloom Arts. You're bound to meet a lot of talented folks there too. Just be friendly and introduce yourself. Get an artwork or two to take home. Lose yourself with all the great bands playing. Just have a good Friday night out! You're sure to see something you'll enjoy while you're there.
