Luna: Specialty Coffee

If there's one thing I love, it's discovering new places to dine at. My go-to places are small, residential-business mixed, (usually) low traffic streets like Maginhawa or Kapitolyo (and even Aguirre if we're in the area). There's a good slew of establishments hidden along those long concrete sidewalks. Fort's usually a busy place, where food is expectedly a bit pricier. We didn't imagine finding a new coffee place to try that day, but the exteriors were just too sleek and inviting, so we gave it a shot.

That small quirky patch of turf at the entrance drew
us in even more. Details, man.

8Cuts: Meat Our Blends

A couple of weeks back before my trip of a lifetime to Barcelona, 8Cuts surprised me with a dinner for me, my folks, and my boyfriend Mykee. We've always loved 8Cuts. We started going to Burger Bar in Greenbelt when it first opened alongside Namnam, and now we happily dine at 8Cuts whenever we can.

Yabu's Dine For A Cause

In light of the recent devastation that Yolanda left the Philippines, big establishments are also reaching out to those affected. On November 13, Wednesday, they'll be donating 100% of their profits to the typhoon victims. All Yabu branches will be in full swing ready to serve you throughout the day.

Help spread the word, and see you all there!

Kichitora of Tokyo

It was another eventful Saturday for +Mykee and me. We had a bunch of activities planned for the day. I'll get into that on another post. For breakfast, (well, brunch technically because even though it was noon, it was the first meal of the day for both of us) we wanted to get something nice and warm. It was a rainy day, which meant that the weather was perfect for ramen. Without knowing anything about the place, we headed straight to Kichitora of Tokyo for our fix.

"Arigatou gozaimasu!" said the staff in unison upon entry and exit.
Not gonna lie, I like it when Japanese restaurants do that.
It makes me feel important haha!

Órale! Taqueria Mexicana

Ask me what my favourite Mexican restaurants are, and Órale's sure to shoot up the list. It's been around for two years, give or take. Fairly new, but with a good following to boot. I've heard patrons say that it's as authentic as one can get without having to fly to Mexico for a filling meal.

¡Vamanos!

Yabu: The House of Katsu

Last Saturday was a treat, and I mean that in the most literal sense. My boyfriend +Mykee and I got to go to our first private food tasting. We're suckers for Japanese food. Both of us rate it as our favourite cuisine. So you could imagine just how happy and excited our stomachs were when we found out that we'd be trying out Yabu at Alabang Town before anyone else would.

Waiting for tonight, woah! I've dreamed of this love for so long!
